Set in the green and unique Tuscan countryside Ardene is surrounded by enchanting hills dotted
with olive groves, vineyards and ancient cypresses.
Suites and apartments are located in two distinct buildings both surrounded by different kinds
of trees. Our typical rocky garden hosts a wide variety of cactus-plants and the green grass is
dotted with coloured flowerbeds. The exclusive outdoor swimming pool offers our guests unforgettable
moments of relax. Relais Ardene provides also with the possibility to have a barbecue in its equipped
area. Visiting the farmyard where domestic animals are reared, you can also enjoy the view of the
Sardinian goats which pasture inside their big pen.
Ardene is a country estate which offers 16 beds combining luxury and comforts. Every apartment has
fireplace, bath or shower with whirlpool, comfortable beds, internet connection, air-conditioning,
satellite tv and a fully equipped kitchen. It is possible to use one of the two buildings as a unique
apartment with 8 or 10 beds and organize dinners and parties in the large living room with the ancient
fireplace.
The relais offers a rich breakfast with typical Tuscan food such us home-made bread, focaccia bread,
tarts and cakes. They are all handmade and backed in the old wood-burning oven of our family.
We produce also genuine local products: ham, salami, “soppressata” and
“finocchiona”, salami,
“capocollo” and “lombo” meat, lard, porchetta and fruit jams,
fresh eggs, pickles, and fruits
of the season too. Everything is organically grown with the respect of countryside, products
and consumers! The animals such as rabbits, domestic pigeons, chickens, but also goats, sheep,
pigs are fed with farm-produced fodder to guarantee top quality.
Our Extra Virgin Oil, thanks to the cold press working, has a very low level of acidity and
therefore, it is an ideal ingredient for diets. We use just organic fertilizer to grow our
vegetables and fruits.
In our large and typical underground Taverna it’s possible to taste local dishes prepared by
Daniela. Here you can appreciate the authentic spirit of Tuscan cuisine served with the well-known
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and also with the other white and red wines of the area. Vinsanto
and the aromatic grappa are excellent to conclude dinners in company. Lastly, don’t forget to
taste the fine wines Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti and Vernaccia di San Gimignano.
